This beloved local spot masterfully combines the cozy, down-home atmosphere of a breakfast diner with the robust flavors of a steakhouse, making it a go-to destination for those craving a truly authentic and hearty meal.

The menu is a delightful journey through Southern favorites and all-day breakfast staples, featuring standout dishes like the rich and crispy Country Fried Steak, the savory Meat Skillet loaded with succulent cuts, and the indulgently sweet Fruited Waffle with Strawberries. Whether you’re in the mood for a fluffy Western Omelet bursting with diced ham, onions, and green peppers, or a comforting bowl of the Soup of the Day, Andy’s impresses with both variety and quality.

Breakfast lovers will delight in options such as the golden Short Stack Pancakes dusted with powdered sugar and topped with butter, or the nutty sweetness of Pecan Pancakes paired with whipped topping. The Captain’s Platter and Waffle Combo are popular picks for those who want a hearty start to their day, while the savory Chicken Alfredo with Broccoli offers a nice twist for lunch or dinner.

While Andy’s focuses on delivering exceptional flavor and comfort food, it’s worth noting the restaurant faces some challenges in accessibility. Guests using wheelchairs may find the entrance ramp and bathroom facilities less accommodating, an aspect that the management may consider improving to better welcome all visitors.

Regular patrons appreciate the attention to detail in every dish, from the crispy corned beef hash to the biscuit with bacon and cheese, as well as the daily specials like stuffed peppers on Wednesdays that bring a touch of surprise to the familiar Southern palette. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick and satisfying breakfast or lingering over a flavorful steak meal, Andy’s Pancake & Steak House consistently delivers well-prepared, generously portioned comfort food that feels like a warm embrace.

Not handicap accessible is you use a wheelchair. No accessible bathroom. Ramp to get in the doors is horrible nor enough room to get thru the entryway. Food was good and reasonably priced. Staff was very nice and friendly.

I've been here several times. I like their breakfast. This visit was specifically for their special on Wednesday's since my family member wanted to try out their stuffed peppers special (only on Wednesday). I got the biscuit with bacon and cheese, scrambled eggs with cheese, and crispy corned beef hash. I liked all of my food. I love that they have corned beef hash. My relative reallyyyyyy loved the stuffed peppers (hamburger, rice, and red sauce). She said she would definitely order it again. This restaurant is a favorite of my family members. I go here about once every three months. It is a local hotspot. If you love good country cooking then stop by. It isn't great for everything but they do breakfast well, the peppers, and fried chicken for sure!!! Great service all the time. Friendly servers. FYI - we usually seat ourselves. Reasonable prices too!

This was my first time at this restaurant during ECSU Homecoming weekend. For it to be a busy weekend for Elizabeth City; this restaurant serves and is cleaning up quickly. I absolutely enjoyed my meal. The food was still hot, and everything was tasty. I will definitely come back to this restaurant in the future.

Went to Andy's for a late breakfast today. I haven't been there in several years. The staff was very pleasant, and we were seated right away. The menu has many choices, and the prices are very reasonable. I ordered a Belgian Waffle Combo. After a short wait, the food came out, and it was still warm. All of my food was well-prepared and tasty. Throughout our visit, the serving staff was helpful and very attentive. Overall, this was a good breakfast experience.

Everything you expect from a good local diner. We came in with a morning rush but seated right away and the food was out with minimal wait time. I had the Belgian waffle by itself with strawberries and whipped cream. It was delicious!! My only gripe was the strawberries being frozen, fresh would have been so much better but good nonetheless. My mom enjoyed her combo platter, everything was tasty and filling. A very nice breakfast on the way back home from visiting Elizabeth City. Friendly service that gave good suggestions and always made sure we were attended to. Also very affordable!

Doesn't look like much, but Andy's is quite a gem for the area. Our waitress was super friendly, she joked with us quite a bit. She told me that she would fix up my blueberry pancakes and I'd love them, which it did. Will say it's a great breakfast spot. We were in town only overnight, but Andy's got us going just right, with full bellies, for our travels!
